LaMar’s Donuts Opens New Locations in Denver, Fort Collins and St. Louis
LaMar’s experiences three consecutive years of double-digit sales growth
DENVER, Colo., May 14, 2007 – LaMar’s Donuts is expanding its six-state presence with three new store locations, in Colorado and Missouri. New stores have opened in Fort Collins and Denver, Colo. and a third store opened in March in St. Louis, Mo.
The new stores bring the total count of LaMar’s locations to 28. The expansion is accompanied by three consecutive years of double-digit sales growth for the Denver-based company, despite a stagnant market overall for donut sales in the quick-service restaurant industry. In 2006, LaMar’s sales for all stores improved by 10.5 percent, while the fresh donut market was down four percent, according to AIB International, a technology transfer center for bakers and food processors.
“Our performance reflects the persistence of franchisees to make and deliver the nation’s best donut to thousands of Americans every day,” said Anthony Bonelli, LaMar’s CEO. “LaMar’s specializes in making a variety of fresh, gourmet donuts to appease the most diverse donut cravings. It’s no easy task to maintain near-perfection day after day, but our team has made it happen.”
LaMar’s Donuts have repeatedly been named “best donut” by magazines,
newspapers and in reader surveys in publications across the country.
LaMar’s
currently has over 75 varieties of donuts – the Ray’s Original
Glazed, the Chocolate Iced Devil’s Food and the White Iced Raspberry
Bizmark being the company’s top sellers.

About LaMar’s Donuts
Founded in 1960 by Ray Lamar, LaMar’s Donuts made its debut
in Kansas City. Based on the donut shop's phenomenal success
and widespread reputation, franchises began selling in the early
1990s for bistro-style donut stores. LaMar’s now has 24
locations in six states: Alabama, Arizona, Colorado, Kansas,
Missouri, and Nebraska. LaMar’s donuts have been
recommended by Zagat’s Survey, the New Yorker and Gourmet
Magazine, and have been chosen as best donut by newspapers nationwide.
